It means we are not alone when things get to much as they are always there with support.They are very informative with knowledge that only one who has been through the same situation can give. Judi Thompson, Carer Support Worker can be contacted on 01202 606560. She can help by
-Supporting families and carers of people with brain injury in the community in their own homes -Education and information program about brain injury for carers, supported by Psychology Service -Researching and visiting appropriate placements -Facilitation of meetings and liaison with other professionals -Information about entitlements to services and benefits -Facilitation of Support Groups exploring coping strategies, held in Poole and in Dorchester -Individual Community Rehabilitation -Provision of Information- leaflets, books and through the sharing of personal experience -Offers emotional and practical support to brain injury survivors and their carers -Benefits Advice- On entitlement and how to claim, as well as advice on tribunals and appeals -Education and advice to health care professionals on brain injury and care programs.
